Films Of May '24: Blockbuster season has begun
We're still in that wild period where there's an insane amount of movies (mainly theatrical).. literally and even
without what's here, again, it's 2,3,4+ releases of relative note a week! It feels like summer blockbuster season
has truly kicked off
(Manyy) Theatrical:
Definitely Going To Go See:
- Furiosa: A Mad Max (0) Saga, 24th. Long lost returns indeed. Fury Road is one of the greatest films
of all time so to have Miller back, ahh!! and Immortan Joe a bit! all that's fine and lovely but it seems
COVID and age forced a more CGI based filming aw.. but hopefully the story and action's worth it. important
lore and such, Anya Taylor hype as ever and Hemsworth's villian cartoonlishy great.. keep it going
- Honorables: Sight, 31st(another free
angel studios joint blind in china), Ezra, 31st(limited(: people story dramady of Bobby Cannavale/robert deniro etc), A Violent Nature, 31st(limited (another slasher horror friday 13th esque)
- Dishonorable: The Garfield Movie, 24th(grrr chris pratt in another cheesy literally low
quality)
Digital:
- Dead Wrong, 21st VOD (lol Rob Schneider and Chet Hanks crime stuff), Atlas 24th Netflix(Jlo in a sci-fi action war film with simu liu /mark strong etc by journey 2 and rampage guy..) , (free Sentinel 24th Hulu another sci fi invasion thing), (free Ferrari adam driver hulu 24th you remember)
