Top Ten Films, Video Games, and Music Albums Of 2024
Perhaps the latest ever but I've been going through some stuff.. and, there's been that much at the last minute to catch up on. Paticuliarly in games but also some films there's surely things that'd bump their way into the best of the
best! But before we go onto the future, time to think of the good times. As just said if it's obviously not there I obviously missed it.. many good times

Top 10 Films Of 2024 Tier:
1. and movie of the year.) Dune Part Two!: For not only being as good as the last part.. but in many ways even better. For DenisV at the peak of his craft, and Hans Simmer musically, Fraser cinematagrapherlly, and
more all so good. While it could have used even more, being even more epic and action packed satisfying. Almost all delivery... and feyd rautha, chani, the emperor, more.. LISAN AL GHAIB! .. the LOTR in space of our time..
with potential for more. The trawler crawler attack still the peak sequence of the year!
2.) Nosferatu (Eggers' Remake): For updating an ancient classic to modern levels. For some of the most beautiful shots ever seen on film with dark period gothic ambiance and mystery. For an incredible unrecognizable
Skarsgard performance.
3.) Deadpool (3) And Wolverine: For being exactly what it needed to be after all of these years. For finally mixing in Wolverine, properly, with amazing Hugh Jackman to boot. Cameos and meta galore.. bravo reynolds!
4.) Strange Darling: For being one of the most innovative, fresh, clever, and surprising things around. For bloody thriller gore but yet a hidden level of comedy and romance within. For being quite a ride
5.) Anora: For being such a mix of emotions and segments. From its debaucherous neon first half, to the Tarantino-ish second quarter, to the shenangins and hijinx search of the latter in to feels in the end.
6.) We Live In Time: For being effectively shot and composed. With great Garfield / Pugh, laughs, emotion, slices of life, and more.
7.) The Substance: For being such a career comeback for Demi Moore. For Dennis Quaid hamming it up, for being sleek and weird and techno "cool".. all before it gets crazy gory . Silly wonderful cheese on the whole way
8.) Memoir Of A Snail: For being a whimsical unique clay masterpiece. For being one of a kind and emotional.
9.) The Bikeriders: For being a fantastic period piece that's yet another showcase of Tom Hardy, Austin Butler, Michael Shannon, and more. For having some great plot twists and confrontations
10.) Cabrini: For being the best thing Angel Studios has done so far. For wholesome inspiration and beautiful period piece set design.
Honorable # 11-13's:
11.) Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga: For , in its peaks, being almost at that amazing feeling of the first even if not as good. For wacky worldbuilding and clever contraptions. For being a long and well earned epic.
12.) Problemista: For being so surreal, clever, wholesome heart. For a wonderful Tilda Swinton and Julio Torres
13.) Joker 2: Foile A Deux: For not being afraid to be unique. For great musical songs by Lady Gaga.. for more Joaquin acting greatness
Top 10 Video Games Of 2024 Tier:
(As said I really didn't play as much this year so it was a stretch. As a fun challenge, I ONLY included games which I either own an actual copy of, and or, have played more than just a few minutes of..even if its still very
very short in most cases. Demos don't count even if I played some deeply, etc.. )
1. and Game Of The Year.) Astro Bot (PS5)!: Of course this had to be it. For offering more of the amazing content of the only truly next gen thing to come to PS5 era. For being the Mario Galaxy 3
we haven't gotten yet.. as well as somehow even more Sony love. Whimsical and colorful and pure design bliss!
2.) Paper Mario And The Thousand Year Door (Remaster): For being one of the best Paper Mario, Gamecube, and even RPG games.. again. With some slick new touches and content
3.) Legend Of Zelda: Echoes Of Wisdom: For trying something different with 2D Zelda. For finally giving the titular princess her starring due in the modern era. For pure design bliss as well not seen since BOTW
4.) Princess Peach Showtime!: For giving ANOTHER princess her starring due in the modern era. For being basically another 3D Kirby game but meets a Mario game. For being adorably charming.
5.) Marvel Rivals full: For being perhaps even better than Overwatch. For being a hit with frequent and cool updates.
6.) Super Mario Party Jamboree: For being a worthy new iteration in the franchise. For motion gameplay meets tons of content yet classics. For online royale
7.) Super Monkey Ball Banana Rumble: For being a new entry in the series. For colorful fresh fun. For the boost dash.
8.) Balatro: For being a very clever idea. For having endless possiblities. For making poker cool.
9.) Squid Game Unleashed Full Mobile: For being Fall Guys on the go. For unique uses of the show's material.
10.) Star Wars Hunters Full: For ALSO being a decent Overwatch. For being free and a small install size
Honorable # 11-13's (These were especially a stretch for content or playing at all..):
11.) The Jackbox Survey Scramble: For being GuesspioNAGE on steroids with tons of modes and content!
12.) The Jackbox Naughty Pack: For embracing the edge
13.) (Multiversus Post-Relaunch Era(Paticuliarly the arcade modes): For living again..for now. For tons of interesting new characters, modes, and pass tracks.

2.) Tyler, The Creator - Chromakopia: For coming out of nowhere and being a career spanning wonder of deep thought, clever ideas, and beautiful feels + jams (Favorite Song: Like Him)
3.) Charli XCX - Brat (+ Shoutout to its amazing guest Remix album too): For kicking off a season of the name. For having such great beats and fun(Favorite Song: 365)
4.) Justice - Hyperdrama: For being a worthy return after so long. For being incredible beats and well live. For being the most daft since Daft.(Favorite Song: Dear Alan)
5.) Jack White - No Name: For showing that he's still the rock legend. For great solos and production. (Favorite Song: What's The Rumpus?)
